Making advanced color adjustments

Sometimes colors rendered by the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in do not look as expected. This could be due to the difference between a camera's profile and the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in's built in profile for the camera model. Other reasons might include photographs taken in nonstandard lighting conditions that extend outside the compensating range of the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in. The Calibrate tab has Hue and Saturation sliders to adjust Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in's built-in camera profile to render nonneutral colors differently.

To adjust the rendering of nonneutral colors:

1. Make sure the Camera Raw dialog box is in Advanced Mode.
2. In the Calibrate tab, use the Hue and Saturation sliders to adjust the red, green, and blue in the image. Watch the preview image as you make the adjustments until the image looks correct to you. In general, first adjust the hue first and then adjust its saturation. Moving the Hue slider to the left (negative value) is like a move counterclockwise on the color wheel and moving the slider to the right (positive value) is like a move clockwise on the color wheel. Moving the Saturation slider to the left (negative value) desaturates the color and moving the slider to the right (positive value) increases the saturation.
