How To iconOrganize layers into layer sets

How To tip iconHow To Tip:

    Organize layers into layer sets.

When you create a multilayered document, the Layers palette can quickly become cluttered. Just as you organize files into file folders, you can group layers into layer sets. Layer sets make it easy to move, modify, hide, and lock layers as a group. You can even nest layer sets within other layer sets.

  1. Click the Create a New Set button Create a New Set button at the bottom of the Layers palette.
  2. Double-click the name of the layer set, and type a new name.
  3. To insert layers (or layer sets) into the new set, drag them to the new layer set. Layers and nested layer sets are indented under the layer set name.
