Resizing tables

You can resize a table by grabbing the side or corner handles or by making adjustments to their dimensions (pixel or percentage).

To resize a table:

Select a table. Do one of the following:

    • In the document window, grab a side or corner handle and drag to resize the table.
    • In the Table palette, in the Dimensions options area, enter the dimensions in pixels (the default method). Press Enter (Windows) or Return (Mac OS) to make the change. If you enter a width dimension, the height changes automatically, and vice-versa.
    • In the Table palette, in the Dimensions options area, change the Pixels method to Percentage and add a value to any of the dimensions. Press Enter (Windows) or Return (Mac OS) to make the change.
    • Choose Slices > Resize Table to Slices. If your table is larger than the slices, this command will shrink the table to fit the slices. If the slice area exceeds that of the table, it will expand the table to reveal all of the child slices.
