Choosing a filter or filter effect

Adobe Illustrator includes a variety of filters and filter effects for applying a special look to bitmap images. For information on using the filters, see Using filters and filter effects.

Many filters and effects are available only for RGB documents. To change the color mode of a document, choose a color mode from the File > Document Color Mode submenu.
